After having our property listed for sale 3 times and listed as a for sale by owner a friend of ours told us if you really want to get your property sold, call Hickinbotham Real Estate. When Scott Hickinbotham met with us at our property he explained the market conditions to us and what they were and what they are currently. He explained in detail his up front honest approach and what it would take to get the property sold. All the other real estate agents just told us what they thought we wanted to hear resulting in very few showings and little to no feedback. This was a fast, easy, and very professional house buying experience. My wife and I were shown a number of houses, we were given full privacy as we decided, there was no pressure. Dear Scott,
I may be writing this a little early since we are not closing on our home for five more days, but I’m confident it’s going to happen with this contract! When Shari and I had this place built in 1995, it was one of the worst and best times of our lives. We were our own General Contractor and had many “issues” arise that made it the worst experience of our lives, up to that time. The best experience being when we finally moved in. Needless to say, I will never build again. My motto is “if it’s not built, I’m not buying.”
We had 21 wonderful years in that home. We loved all of them, raising our two sons and just being a family. It’s now time to turn it over to a new family, so they can love it, as we always will.
Scott, since the first time we met, Shari and I both have believed we put our trust in the “right” person to sell our home. When you were “brutally honest” with me about pricing our home and until closing the deal, you have shown that care, compassionate assistance and experience sellers need. You were the first realtor, to tell us that we shouldn’t have a problem selling our house. Prior to you, all the realtors told us our location was a detriment. Without your working with us, I don’t’ believe our home would have sold. I say this because we had listed it twice before this time and had no one to look at it. I do now and will refer anyone in the area who wants to buy or sell to your agency.
