January 31, 2005, The Missouri House of Representatives recognized Letha Hickinbotham as an esteemed resident of St. Clair, Missouri, who retired from Hickinbotham Real Estate, Inc. on February 8, 2005, after a successful career in real estate that spanned an incredible twenty-eight years.
During her impressive tenure at Hickinbotham Real Estate, Inc. Letha has completed many duties and tasks placed before her as a Real Estate Consultant, Residential/Commercial Landlord, and Broker.
Letha held many leadership positions with various professional organizations including the President of Women's Council of Realtors in 1980; President of Missouri Chapter of Women's Council of Realtors in 1983 and awarded Woman of the year in 1983 by the National Women's Council of Realtors; President of Tri-County Business and Professional Women's Club in 1981-82; Honored as Realtor of the year in 1983 by Franklin County Board of Realtors; President of Franklin County Board of Realtors in 1985.
Letha was listed in Who's Who in Leading American Executives. She established Budget Lodging Motel in 1989 (now owned by her grandson, Jason Alexander, and his wife Holly) and developed property to accommodate Subway Restaurant in 1992.
Letha's community affiliations include the St. Clair Chamber of Commerce, President of St. Clair Rotary; President of East Central College Foundation, Sullivan Missouri Baptist Hospital Advisory Board, and the Farmers and Merchants Bank Advisory Board.
Letha's children (Marjean Alexander, Twila Noe, and Scott Hickinbotham) have worked as Realtors at Hickinbotham Real Estate Inc.
After Scott Hickinbotham served in the US Navy as an aircraft mechanic and worked as a union carpenter in St. Louis, MO, he stepped into the broker owner position of Hickinbotham Real Estate, Inc. on June 1, 2001. Having started his career in real estate on Feb 27, 1996, Scott has been certified with the following professional designations: ABR accredited buyers’ representative, CRS certified residential specialist, GRI graduate of the Realtors Institute, SFR shortsale/foreclosure resource, CDPE certified distressed properties expert. Scott has received the Pinnacle Award of Excellence from the Franklin County Board of Realtors for over 5 million in sales volume per year. Scott has completed numerous projects involving residential and commercial rebuilding along with new single family and multifamily construction. He currently serves as director on the St. Louis board of Realtors and is member of the St. Louis Commercial Board of Realtors. Scott has been involved in Franklin County habitat for humanity and other habitat for humanity projects in the country.
Scott has attended various professional real estate classes through the National Association of Realtors convention. Scott has attended CCIM certified commercial member training classes in Tampa, Florida. Scott has received several years of business coaching from top agent/trainer and coach Walter Sanford. The Hickinbotham Real Estate Team Property Management Division currently manages over 160 properties of various types; the brokerage division assists buyers and sellers with their commercial, investment, farms/acreage and residential real estate needs.
